A couple of weeks ago, Darragh and I went off to meet Mr Dusty Rhodes to do an interview for PC Live’s podcast and radio show. It was quite a lot of fun to do, Dusty’s got a great studio set-up on Upper Mount St and is now working on digital radio broadcasting all the time. We also met Mr Niall Kitson who’s the editor of PC Live magazine, but he didn’t join in on the interview. You can hear it all here (infact, you should subscribe to that podcast, it’s pretty good).
I like doing these sorts of things, have always enjoyed doing the boards podcasts too with MonkeyFudge – must do another one soon.
Years ago, I did *one* pirate radio show with some friends of mine. I was left looking at a big console with absolutely no idea how any of it worked other than “this is where you make the CD play” and “this is how you turn the mic up.” The man in charge is now a very well known and multiple award winning DJ in Ireland by the name of KC. If you read the bio, I was involved with PowerFM, but got the tip off that the powers that be were coming from a friend who was the editor of the local paper and so Keith closed down the station and got a *real* radio job. Ironically, my one show was on at the same time as my own mother’s show on MWRFM

If you’ve ever wanted to know about me or what makes me tick or what animal I’d love to own most, you can find out now on my session In The Noc Light on the Nocturnal Forum.
The general idea is that we pick a regular on the forum and allow them to be subjected to a battery of questions from everyone else in an effort to get to know each other better. It’s been oft times interesting and very revealing whilst at the same time quite amazing at how much people are willing to share and be let known about themselves.
Personally, I’m not posting anything I haven’t posted before elsewhere or that I’m not afraid to talk about publically. So feel free to ask a question (boards.ie account required) if you like

So my little baby, the Nocturnal Forum on boards.ie is 1 year old today
The history of where the forum came from and all that is well established and I’m not going to go into it again today, but suffice it to say, I’m very happy to be a part of it.
Happy Birthday Noc Forum you crazy bastard! Maybe this year you’ll turn into what I want it to be

So the place I work for is getting a blog and sticking me on it’s blog-roll. That’s cool. The place I work for happens to have over 225,000 members and I happen to be lazy at blogging
OK, so this one’s just for you boardsies!
It’s worth clarifying, this is my personal blog and I may say things that don’t necessarily correspond with my professional decisions or actions. If you have a problem with that, so be it, feel free to make some comments and lets have a chat about it
”Dav” is not always the same as “Kharn” (that’s my personal boards.ie account that I’ve had since the site started incase you don’t know), and for simplicity sake, lets say this is Kharn’s Blog with occasional input from Dav.
So that’s all I really wanted to say. Now that I know you’re all watching, I’ll try to add some occasionally interesting stuff in here
